Where To Celebrate The Jubilee In London

Where To Celebrate The Jubilee In London

It isn’t long until the nation will be celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, with events taking place up and down the country to mark the historic occasion. But have you made plans yet?

To save you a job, I've gathered my top events happening in London, so you can hopefully decide where to go and how to best celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!

Southbank Centre

Date: June 1-3

The Southbank Centre has a huge array of events taking place over the weekend.
Including Punk Alley, subtle for the whole family, you can watch the Lazurr Tuts as they invite all to participate in creating songs, writing placards and playing music.
Or there is the Nu Civilisation Orchestra: The Queen’s Suite, which will see the acclaimed Orchestra perform a section of Duke Ellington's jazz compositions.

Boxpark Parties

June 2

Both the Wembley and Croydon locations of Boxpark host Jubilee street party events today. Each venue has games, quizzes, and crafts for younger visitors, plus DJs, live music, and plenty of food and drink.
Free entry, 11am-11pm

Food Forever

June 2

Head to the Temperate House at Kew Gardens for a look at the future of food. Journalist Dan Saladino and food design specialist Maria Fuentenebro discuss what our grandchildren will likely be eating, given the rate at which crops are changing and developing.
Kew Gardens, £9, 7pm-8.30pm

Streetlife

June 3-4

Tuck into street food, craft beer and cocktails, with a side of views over London, as Streatlife returns to Alexandra Palace. Traders confirmed include hot dog vendors Rollin' Dogs, Firebird fried chicken, Zero Sushi, and Greedy Vegan, plus there's live music and DJs across both days.
Alexandra Palace, free entry

Camberwell Arts Festival

June 4-12

A Platinum Party on Camberwell Green heralds the launch of this year's Camberwell Arts Festival, which also includes an arts market, artists' open studios and a Camberwell Corgi trail of 70 cutout dogs dotted around the local area.
Camberwell, various locations and prices, 4-12 June
