ArcelorMittal Orbit and slide - Stratford

London’s most exciting attraction, The Slide at the ArcelorMittal Orbit opened in June 2016 and visitors have been snapping up tickets to experience the truly hair-raising experience ever since!

The local attraction is a modern-day London icon. The twisting red sculpture of the ArcelorMittal Orbit gives views of up to 20 miles across London from its viewing platforms, and includes the Orbit slide for thrill-seekers.

What is the Orbit slide?

The Slide at the ArcelorMittal Orbit is a hair-raising experience that’s not for the faint-hearted!

Made up of 12 twists and turns, including a tight corkscrew named the bettfeder (meaning “bedspring” in German), it ends in a thrilling 164ft (50-metre) straight run to the ground.

How tall is the ArcelorMittal Orbit slide?

The Orbit slide is 250ft (76 metres) high, making it the world’s tallest tunnel slide. At 584ft (178 metres) in length, it’s also the longest!

How fast is the ArcelorMittal Orbit slide?

Whizz down the Orbit slide at speeds of up to 15 miles per hour, which takes 40 seconds.

What can you see from the Orbit?

Take the lift 262 ft up to the viewing platform, where the 360-degree floor-to-ceiling windows make it easy to spot landmarks such as The Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral and Wembley Stadium.

You can also peer down on the waterways, gardens and sports venues in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from the outside viewing area.

The Slide is one of the world’s longest and fastest tunnel slides and the perfect option for thrill-seekers. Avoid the hassle of waiting in long ticket lines at this popular London attraction by pre-booking in advance.

Reviews

Amazing
Top notch customer service throughout the attraction. Staff makes the experience less scary and more entertaining.

Great experience
The whole process was good, no queue as you book a time slot, safety talk and equipment was given, GoPro was offered for 15.00 and official photos with booklet from 10.00, so very reasonable, also only 1.00 for a locker, which you get back, the slide was amazing as were the views from the viewing point

Great fun experience
Well organised and on time! With the National Rail two for one offer good value too. We are all mature kids a couple of us over 70 and yet had a great time. Thoroughly recommend.
